1. Introduction and identity
LAMPSI (LAMPSI, we, us or our) respects privacy and is committed to handling personal data lawfully, fairly, transparently and securely. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, store and protect information when you use https://www.lampsigh.com, create an account, place an order, contact us, subscribe to communications, use an address lookup, submit a review or otherwise interact with the store.
LAMPSI processes personal data subject to applicable Ghanaian law, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Configured identity, privacy-contact and business details appear in the Business & Contact Information panel on this page. We do not claim a registration number or regulator status unless verified details are configured and displayed there.
2. Information we may collect
Identity, account and contact information
- name, email address and telephone or WhatsApp number;
- delivery and billing address;
- account identifiers and password hashes or related security information;
- saved addresses, wishlist selections and communication preferences;
- an optional saved style profile, when you choose to create one, such as usual clothing and shoe sizes, preferred or avoided colours, style and coverage preferences, a typical budget range and favourite product categories.
Order and transaction information
- products, variants, sizes, colours and quantities ordered;
- order number, delivery method, delivery instructions and status;
- discounts, coupon or gift-card information;
- payment status, amount, channel, provider reference and related reconciliation or fraud-prevention metadata.
Payment information
The methods currently available are shown at checkout. If a provider-hosted online payment interface such as Paystack is enabled, the provider collects card, bank or mobile-money authentication credentials directly. LAMPSI does not need to receive raw card numbers, CVVs or payment PINs entered with the provider. We may receive limited transaction status and reference information needed to reconcile the order.
Reviews, support and communications
- customer-service messages, complaints, returns and cancellation requests;
- review name, rating, title, body, fit feedback and helpful-vote information;
- public review names and approved review content, which are displayed on product pages;
- email or WhatsApp subscription, consent and unsubscribe records.
AI Style Assistant
When the optional LAMPSI AI Style Assistant is enabled and you use it, we process the messages you send, customer-visible assistant replies, explicit styling preferences stated in that conversation, products recommended or selected, limited usage information, and any contact details you choose to provide for a human handoff. Signed-in account identity or a pseudonymous guest-session identifier may be used to keep the conversation private. Privacy-conscious funnel events may record that an assistant recommendation was shown, clicked or added to a bag, that an assisted checkout began, or that an assisted order was successfully placed. A limited marker on the order preserves aggregate attribution after the related chat reaches its retention limit; it does not change payment, fulfilment or order decisions. Secure order information is accessed only through the same authenticated or signed guest access controls used by the normal store and is not made available for unrestricted AI searching.
Signed-in customers may separately choose to create an optional saved style profile in Account. LAMPSI does not add a chat statement or an image-derived observation to that profile merely because it was mentioned or observed. You can review, change or clear the saved profile in Account. When relevant to a styling request, the saved fashion preferences may be provided to the configured AI service provider as data for that request; a preference stated for the current conversation may override the saved profile without changing it.
If you upload a styling image, LAMPSI validates it and sends it transiently to the configured AI service provider for fashion-relevant analysis and live-catalog matching. LAMPSI does not automatically save the uploaded image in its product image library or conversation database. We may retain the resulting non-sensitive clothing description, chat text and catalog recommendations, but not the raw styling image. Do not upload information you do not want processed for this request.
Device, storage, analytics and security information
- IP address, browser or device information, request timing and security or rate-limit signals;
- essential authentication cookies and signed session identifiers;
- cart, wishlist and consent choices stored in browser local storage;
- hashed or pseudonymous identifiers used to limit duplicate review votes or abuse;
- page and action information, together with coarse country and city information supplied in request headers, used for daily aggregate store analytics;
- Google Analytics information only when the feature is configured and the visitor has granted optional analytics consent.
3. How information is collected
We collect information directly when you register, order, submit a review, request an alert or contact us; automatically through necessary site technologies, logs, cookies and local storage; and from providers involved in payments, delivery, hosting, security and communications. Address suggestions typed at checkout may be sent through our server to the configured address-lookup provider, currently OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service.
4. Why we use personal information
We use personal information where necessary and lawful to:
- create and secure customer accounts;
- maintain carts, wishlists, customer-chosen style preferences and saved addresses;
- calculate, process and fulfil orders;
- arrange delivery or collection and provide order updates;
- reconcile payments, gift cards, refunds, disputes and fraud checks;
- respond to support, return, cancellation and complaint requests;
- provide requested AI styling, image-to-catalog matching, product support and secure read-only order assistance, and transfer a conversation to staff when requested;
- moderate and display approved reviews and count helpful votes;
- provide requested back-in-stock or subscription notices;
- send marketing only with the required consent or another lawful basis;
- maintain security, enforce limits, diagnose errors and prevent abuse;
- comply with legal, accounting, tax, payment-network and regulatory requirements;
- understand store performance through aggregate analytics and, when consented and configured, optional analytics services.
5. WhatsApp, email and marketing
LAMPSI may send transactional communications needed to service an order, including confirmations, delivery updates, return or refund information and important account or security notices. WhatsApp order messaging applies only when the service is enabled and the customer has supplied the necessary details and preference.
Marketing is separate from necessary transactional messages. Where consent is required, silence or a pre-selected option is not treated as consent. You may unsubscribe or withdraw marketing consent through the method in the message or by contacting us.
6. Sharing information
We share only information reasonably necessary with providers that help operate LAMPSI, which may include:
- payment processors such as Paystack, but only when that method is enabled and used;
- banks, card networks and mobile-money providers involved in a transaction;
- delivery and courier providers;
- hosting, database, image storage, security and rate-limiting providers;
- email, WhatsApp and customer-support providers;
- AI service providers when you choose to use the AI Style Assistant, subject to the provider configuration and applicable processing terms;
- analytics providers where configured and permitted;
- address-lookup providers when you request address suggestions;
- professional advisers, courts, regulators or authorities where lawfully required.
Providers may act on our behalf or as independent controllers depending on the service and applicable law. We do not sell or offer to sell customer personal data.
7. International processing
Some hosting, storage, payment, communication, analytics and security providers may process information outside Ghana. Where personal data is processed internationally, LAMPSI takes reasonable steps required by applicable law to use an appropriate basis and safeguards. A provider's independent service is also governed by its own privacy terms.
8. Data minimisation and retention
We aim to collect information that is necessary, relevant and not excessive for the stated purpose. Records are kept for periods reasonably connected to orders, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, security, consent and other legal or operational needs. Retention periods vary by record and obligation. AI conversation text and operational metadata have the retention target disclosed in the assistant interface and configured by an administrator. An automated cleanup runs daily; a conversation with an unresolved human handoff is retained until staff resolve that handoff. An optional saved style profile is separate from conversation retention and remains with the signed-in account until the customer changes or clears it, or the account is deleted. Styling-image bytes are used only for the current transient request and are not written to LAMPSI's conversation, saved style profile or product-image storage. An AI provider may apply limited service, security or abuse-monitoring retention under its contract and service terms. Other records may need to be kept longer where required for an order, complaint, legal obligation or security investigation.
9. Security
LAMPSI uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, signed authentication sessions, one-way password hashing, encrypted transport, secure hosting, rate limiting and limiting administrative access according to role and need. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password, device and payment credentials and tell us promptly about suspected account misuse.
10. Cookies and browser storage
Essential cookies support signed login sessions and security. Browser local storage supports carts, wishlists and the analytics-consent choice. Optional Google Analytics scripts load only when an administrator has configured the service and the visitor selects Allow analytics. Blocking essential storage may prevent parts of the store from working.
11. Data-protection rights
Subject to the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and other applicable law, you may have rights to be informed, request access, request correction of inaccurate data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, object to direct marketing, and seek other remedies available under law. We may need to verify identity before acting on a request and may retain records where a lawful obligation or basis applies.
Use the privacy contact displayed on this page to make a request. You may also have the right to complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission.
The AI Style Assistant does not autonomously purchase products, alter payments or order status, issue refunds, or make another decision intended to have a legal or similarly significant effect. You can request human support from the assistant where the feature is available.
12. Children's privacy
LAMPSI is a retail store and is not intended knowingly to collect personal data from a child who cannot lawfully enter the transaction or provide valid consent without a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data improperly so we can review the situation.
13. Third-party links and services
The website may link to payment pages, social networks, courier tracking, address-lookup results or other third-party services. Their independent processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy for legal, operational or service changes. The effective and last-updated dates appear on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or another appropriate channel.
